Saudi Seasons 2019 project in the most closed country in the world before the renewed country presents itself to the world the project is grander than the Olympic Games
In 2019, the Second Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mohammad bin Salman, after the coming to power of his father, King Salman, received broad powers, becoming one of the iconic figures of the state. In his 30s, he has become the main defining face of Saudi Arabia’s policy on military, political and economic issues, which marks the beginning of a new era in the country’s development. The prince presented to the world a draft concept of the country’s development, which was called “Vision – 2030”. An absolutely renewed country will appear to the world in the near future.
As part of the opening of the renewed Saudi Arabia to the world, the royal family organized an event of an unprecedented scale and duration, which was named Saudi Seasons 2019.
This project is many times larger and longer than even the Summer Olympic Games, which are considered the pinnacle of complexity in the event industry. Twelve zones in Riyadh and its suburbs, 1000+ events, all the leading event specialists from all over the world and all possible events that humanity has come up with – from expo exhibitions and a global auto show to a theme park and a real Safari in an oasis in the middle of one of hottest deserts in the world. As a result, the total duration was six months, excluding the period of preparation, construction and installation of equipment.
Once again, our international team, in cooperation with the Riedel engineers, took on this challenge – radio communications, internet and networks were organized and operated in the largest areas throughout the entire period, at all major events, with the highest demands and often in extreme desert conditions.
